The Valley
Sculpting Space
We crafted a brand-new office space tailored for a recruitment company, nestled within the architecture of MVRDV’s The Valley building. By integrating a vast open layout, punctuated with diverse workstations and meeting areas, we successfully curated additional enclosed spaces. The interior now emanates the welcoming ambiance akin to a boutique hotel, catering specifically to the preferences of the young talents who frequent the revamped office.
It’s been powerful to seamlessly integrate with the building and bridge the gap between architecture and furniture, evident in features like the coffee corner.’
Transitional Fusion
Transitional Fusion
We prioritised a comfortable transition for the client as they embraced a new office concept. Our design incorporates a range of spaces, including a communal coffee corner, discreet focus areas, versatile meeting rooms, and flexible desks. Seeking to seamlessly blend the interior with the outdoors, we integrated greenery throughout, ranging from planters to larger spacial elements conducive to plant growth. Whenever possible, we repurposed furniture from their previous office. Additionally, we implemented a strict separation between meeting rooms to maintain privacy and minimize contact between clients.
Meandering Motif
Tailored Ambiance
Tailored Ambiance
Spaces are divided into focus areas and meeting spots, each associated with its own color scheme. We utilized green for areas conducive to uninterrupted work, such as the library, and red for spaces intended for more collaborative activities. Adjacent to the facade, we installed standing tables offering views of The Valley’s balconies. Through a variety of spatial qualities, we’ve crafted a space tailored to the client’s requirements. The interior features unconventional desks, eschewing standard shapes in favor of meandering tables and spatially designed objects. Each element serves multiple functions, with distinct forms evident in features such as the call booths and coffee corners.
We embraced the challenge and endeavored to infuse elements of the multiple client partners – each with their own distinct tastes – into the interior.’
