2009 - start design
For the masterplan of the Olympia quarter MVRDV invited 20 architects to design a couple of buildings. We were asked to design an office and a small apartment building, a so-called parasite. We developed an extremely efficient sollution for the floorplan to put some relieve on the tight budget. This allowed us come up with some exceptional facades. For the office we designed a facade of stone curtains build from pre-fab elements. The parasite is covered with darkgrey fabric, that functions as sunshades.
